The two primitive cloth dolls, Clare (left) and Mattie (right) are best friends. The cloth doll friends are 22 in. tall and have painted faces and stitched fingers. Clare wears her best homespun dress, although it is slightly torn, worn, and stained. Mattie's dress is black and cream plaid homespun. Their pantaloons are in contrasting colors.
